Terms and Conditions
Agreement:
The following “Terms and Conditions” may be modified by Poynter Institute.
The Employer is responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, completeness and removal of any employment requirements that are placed on the Poynter Career Center. Employer agrees to remove any positions that have been filled or no longer are available within 10 days of the date the positions are filled or no longer available.
The Employer shall present on the Poynter Career Center only requirements for genuine positions available with the Employer.
Poynter assumes no responsibility or liability for any personnel selected by the Employer and the Employer represents that the selection, retention or hire of any individual or entity is based solely on the Employer's investigation, verification and determination that such hire is suitable for the Employer's purposes.
The Employer hereby releases Poynter from any claims, damages or losses incurred by the Employer as a result of Employer's use of the Poynter Career Center and agrees to hold Poynter harmless from any such claims by the Employer. This release and hold harmless agreement includes, without limitation, claims for copyright infringement, trademark or tradename infringement, defamation, fraud, breach of contract, employment discrimination, and all similar causes of action.
Employer grants Poynter the right to remove the job posting(s) if an arrangement for the billing process has not been met within a 24-hour period of posting.
Employer grants Poynter the right to edit all employment advertisements, but Poynter will review any such edited advertisements with the Employer prior to publication.
No advertisement submitted by the Employer shall reflect, imply or contribute to any discriminatory actions, practices or improper bias.
The Employer is solely responsible for assuming that the content of its advertising is true and accurate and conforms to all applicable laws, standards and regulations. The Employer represents and warrants to Poynter that it has all necessary authorization for the placement of the entire content of its advertising within the site.
Employer agrees that Poynter may decline any advertising or discontinue further publication of any advertising, at any time and for any reason, and shall not be liable in any manner as a result of such action, except to refund a prorated portion of any unused prepaid subscription.
Employer agrees that the sole and exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any litigation arising out of its use of the Poynter Career Center shall be the circuit or county court in Pinellas county, Florida, St. Petersburg, FL. And hereby agrees that for jurisdicition purposes, this agreement was made in St. Petersburg, Florida.
