THE JOB: The Indianapolis Star is looking for a reporter to join the Investigations and Enterprise Team who can expose corruption, uncover examples of government waste and shine a bright light on injustice. We are looking for someone who can balance significant longer-term investigations with solid quick turn-around pieces off the news. Must be able to work in a team environment as well as stand out as a solo artist. Must embrace the need to be innovative and engaging on the Web and across multiple platforms. Must be able to write with clarity and impact on often sophisticated topics. Must be curious, skeptical and determined to get to the truth.

Bachelor’s degree and reporting experience required,preferably on a metro daily. We are looking for a track record of smart, in-depth investigative pieces either as part of an investigations team or on a beat. Applicants also would benefit from training in computer assisted reporting techniques and experience in multimedia storytelling.
